DC Avanti, the first sports car designed in India has come with its posters on the internet with the “Feel Alive” tagline. The car that has been designed by DC design, a firm headed by Dilip Chhabria was first showcased in the 2012 Delhi Auto Expo and is scheduled to be launched in early 2015.
Priced at Rs. 40 lakh, DC Avanti will sport a carbon-fibre body shell with a lightweight space frame chassis. Powering the Indian sports car will be a Renault sourced, mid-mounted, 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine that produces 250 bhp of power and 366 Nm of torque. A 6-speed manual gearbox will transmit power to the rear wheels. The sports car can accelerate from 0 to 100 kms per hour at 7 seconds and can attain a top speed of 180 kph. DC Avanti offers a fuel economy of 8.0 kms per litre and 10 kms per litre on highways.
With the posters of DC Avanti emerging online, the arrival of the first sports car from India is now being felt strongly.
