After having launched the top end variants of the Brio hatchback and Amaze compact sedan, Honda seems be in a mood to do something good for the environment. The company has finetuned the Honda Amaze 1.2 S MT Plus (i-VTEC) i.e. a petrol sedan so that it can be compatible for CNG. By launching this variant, Honda aims to target those customers who are looking for an eco-friendly car that delivers the performance of a petrol powered car and is low on running costs. The new CNG variant will be available with a warranty for two years.
Honda Amaze 1.2 S MT Plus (i-VTEC) is priced at Rs. 5.99 lakhs and installation charges for Amaze CNG kit will be Rs. 54,315.
Honda approved CNG kit will be fitted to the new variant at dealerships (where CNG fuel is available) in cities. The CNG variant of Honda’s compact sedan has been finetuned while producing the CNG compatibility by optimizing the suspension, applying CNG specific engine components and preparing wiring harnesses to maintain high level of quality.
“At HCIL, we constantly work towards enhancing customer experience through our products and services. We are extremely happy to bring the Amaze with a CNG option for our customers, which will not only be cheaper to run and maintain but also eco-friendly,” says Jnaneswar Sen, Senior Vice President, Marketing and Sales, Honda Cars India.
With the launch of the CNG variant, Honda Amaze is likely to get more customers, especially those who are cautious about the environment.
