2015 Honda Dio unveiled; to be available by March 2015

A company backed by Nest co-founder Tony Fadell is taking Andy Rubin's startup to court.

Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI) that has plans to introduce 15 new products (both new and refreshed models), today unveiled the 2015 Honda Dio. The company will dispatch the 2015 Honda Dio by the end of March, this year. The scooter sports new stickers, a sporty logo and side panel graphics and will be available with new dual tone color shades i.e. Black, Sports Red, Jazzy Blue Metallic and Candy Palm Green.

The new Honda Dio has been styled to attract the youth. Powering the 2015 Honda Dio is a 110cc engine that produces power of 6 bhp and torque of 8 Nm.

Honda Dio was first launched in Japan in 1988 and it is now manufactured and assembled in India by HMSI. HMSI introduced a new Dio at the 2012 Auto Expo in India. It used the 110 cc engine, which is also used to power the Honda Activa and Honda Aviator. In 2013, Honda Dio was upgraded with combined brakes and improved fuel efficiency.

Last year, HMSI expressed its intention to launch 10 new and some refreshed products. But the company, today announced its plans to launch 15 new models in 2015.

Currently, the company has decided to launch 7 new products this year and 8 models with cosmetic upgrades.
