2015 Isuzu Crosswind launched in Philippines; gets automatic transmission

A company backed by Nest co-founder Tony Fadell is taking Andy Rubin's startup to court.

Isuzu Philippines has launched the updated model of its Crosswind at price ranging between 750,000 Php (Rs. 10.5 lakhs) to 1,195,000 Php (Rs. 16.74 lakhs). The 2015 Isuzu Crosswind gets a slightly redesigned front fascia with a new silver grille and body-coloured bumpers. It also features an aluminum black side step board and a 15-inch multi-spoke wheels.

“Form and functionality is what the 2015 Isuzu Crosswind is all about. Isuzu believes in continuously improving its products, so we have decided to give it an upgrade, keep it up to the existing market trends to make our customers’ everyday drive more special,” says Isuzu Philippines Corporation (IPC) President Nobuo Izumina.

The 2015 Crosswind is available in two new shades- Dark Silver and Hunter Green. The existing colours- Garnet Red, Splash White, Cosmic Black and Ash Beige also continue to be on offer.

Other key features include spoiler integrated reverse camera, a DVD/CD/MP3/WMA/JPG player with USB function, an alarm system and reverse sensors.

Mechanically, the 2015 Crosswind remains unchanged and the people mover will continue being powered by a 2.5-litre four-cylinder diesel powermill that produces 85 hp and comes mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox. The updated 2015 Crosswind will get reintroduced with a 4-speed automatic gearbox. The company has also reworked on the suspension system to offer maximum comfort for occupants.

2015 Crosswind is available with all authorized dealers of Isuzu across Philippines.
