Earlier this month, Bajaj Motors had announced its plans to launch 6 new bikes in the coming 6 months. Of all the six back to back launches strategized by the company, the first product that Bajaj Motors has launched is the new Bajaj Platina ES. What pulled our attention towards the Bajaj Platina ES is the company claimed fuel efficiency of 96.9 kms per litre. The new Platina ES will reach dealerships and will be sold at a price tag of Rs. 44,507 (ex-showroom price, Delhi).
Powering the Platina ES will be the Discover 100M’s 102 cc engine that produces 8.2 PS and 8.7 Nm of torque. The engine has been slightly detuned to ensure better mileage for the bike. The new bike from Bajaj features an electric starter besides the standard kick starter and it also sports slightly finetuned exhaust, new side panels and brighter graphics.
The top end variant of the new Platina 100 ES will come with alloy wheels and Electric Start(ES). The base model will be sporting spoke wheels and will not be getting the electric start option. 110 mm drum brakes as standard at the rear and front for both the top and base variants.
The bike will be available in three color options – Ebony Black, Electron Blue and Candy Red.
