Just a day ago, Toyota Kirloskar Motors (TKM) had announced the launch of Toyota Fortuner 4X4 AT. Now we hear that TKM has launched a base variant of the Fortuner SUV that will be powered by 2.5-liter diesel engine (borrowed from the Toyota Innova) that produces power of 141.97 bhp at 3,400 rpm and a torque of 34.98 kgm ranging from 1,600-2,800 rpm.

Offered only as a 2WD, the Toyota Fortuner 2.5L can be had with 5-speed manual and automatic transmissions. The Fortuner 2.5 features halogen headlights, however, the SUV does not get HID headlights, headlamp washer and a navigation system with voice command.

The other features include music system with steering mounted controls, leather seats, alloy wheels, powered driver’s seat, ABS, dual air bags and automatic climate control with rear AC vents.

Toyota Fortuner 2.5L will be offered only in two shades-Silver Metallic and Super White.

The Fortuner 2.5L is available in two variants and the manual variant comes at a price of Rs. 24.44 lakh while the automatic variant costs Rs. 25.44 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi prices).
