Volkswagen is all set to launch the 2015 Volkswagen Jetta facelift in India on February 17 and the facelifted version gets a lot of upgrades to its exteriors and interiors. The front view of the 2015 Volkswagen Jetta resembles the VW Passat with LED Daytime Running Lights (DRLs) and optional bi-xenon headlights. The rear view (of the GLI and Hybrid versions) sports an updated trunk lid with spoiler and LED taillights.
The interiors sport minor changes with the mid and top end variants getting chrome for the gauges and dash and a new flat bottom multi-function steering wheel, piano black accents, revised air vent controls. As claimed by the company, the 2015 Jetta has been aerodynamically optimized and ensures reduced rolling resistance.
However, the engine options will continue being the same. The 2015 facelifted Jetta will be powered by a 1.4 liter petrol engine that comes mated to a manual gearbox and a 2.0 liter diesel engine (tuned to produce 150 bhp) that comes mated to an automatic transmission.
The 2015 Jetta also features new driver assistance systems that include rear cross-traffic alert, Park Distance Control, frontal collision warning system and Blind Spot Detection.
The 2015 Jetta facelift had been showcased in many auto shows, last year and the updated saloon was first premiered at the New York Motor Show, 2014.
