The upgraded model of the Toyota Fortuner was spotted while it was being tested in Australia. Based on the spy shots published by 4X4 Australia magazine, it could be deciphered that, Toyota is not making drastic changes in the car’s exteriors. It seems to be a good news for those who are bowled by Toyota Fortuner’s looks.
According to the rendering, 2016 Toyota Fortuner could come with larger headlamps, chrome intensive exterior, LED Daytime Running Lights and sturdy body lines.
Going by the picture captured by 4X4 Australia, we can also see a rendering of the Hilux pick up from which Fortuner borrows its frame. The IMV (International Multi-purpose vehicle) platform will be strengthening the 2016 Toyota Fortuner and the new model is expected to be lighter than the existing model. We could also expect a new engine in the new model that would ensure fuel efficiency, lesser emissions and better NVH levels.
The premium SUV is expected to be available in both petrol and diesel powered versions. The premium SUV retains the seven seat arrangement and the spy images gives us an impression that with the 2016 upgrade, we could expect a larger cabin in the remodeled Toyota Fortuner.
It is being speculated that, Toyota is planning to unveil the upgraded version at the Delhi Auto Expo in India in 2016. It is expected that, the new Toyota Fortuner could be launched in 2016. We would definitely keep a watch on Toyota’s plans for the same.
