KTM has launched the India-made Duke 390 in the Philippines for which distributions will begin in July 2017. KTM has also launched a special edition model that is based on the 2017 KTM Duke 390 in new graphics inspired by the country’s national flag.
Powering the 2017 KTM Duke 390 is a 373cc single-cylinder, fuel-injected mill that produces 43.5 HP and 37 Nm of torque. This engine comes coupled to a 6-speed gearbox. Equipped with a slipper clutch, LED headlamps, ride-by-wire, TFT instrument console, and a 13.4-litre fuel tank, the Duke 390 weighs 149 kgs dry.
Like other small capacity Dukes, the Duke 390 too will be assembled at the new manufacturing facility in the Philippines with the help of its local partner Ayala Corporation. The 2017 Duke 390 is priced at PHP 2, 68, 000 (approximately Rs.3.46 lakhs). It is made in India but KTM has no plans to launch any special edition of any of its bikes in the near future.
