In the run-up to 2017 EICMA Motorcycle Show in Milan, Italy, Japanese auto giant Suzuki has revealed the 2018 Hayabusa along with the updated GSX-R600 and the GSX-R750. Nothing much has changed excepting for all 3 bikes gaining a new paint scheme. The 2018 Suzuki Hayabusa will now be available with a red and white colour scheme with white alloy wheels along with the former red and black scheme. On the mechanical front, it is still powered by the massive 1340cc engine that transmits 197PS of power and 154Nm of peak torque. Many riders across the world, including India, consider the Hayabusa as the Holy Grail of motorcycles. The bike, however, hasn’t received any significant update in a while. Earlier, it was reported that Suzuki would launch a turbocharged version of the Hayabusa around 2019. While Suzuki hasn’t confirmed or denied this, we can only keep our fingers crossed and hope they build it.
Meanwhile, the Suzuki GSX-R600 and the GSX-R750 also get an updated paint scheme. While the GSX-R600 is available in different colour options like silver/white, grey/red and Suzuki’s trademark blue, the GSX-R750 gets a black/red. Black/grey and blue paint options. Meanwhile the Suzuki GSX-R600 gets a silver/white, grey/red paint scheme and the trademark Suzuki blue colour. The GSX-R750 now sports a new black/red and black/grey colour along with the blue paint scheme. The 2018 Hayabusa marks 19 years of the motorcycle and with all respect to the Japanese falcon, it is long due for a revamp. With earlier reports talking about a new turbocharged ‘Busa for 2019, we can only wait for Suzuki to reveal the bike soon.
On the other hand, the GSX-R600 and GSX-R750 are unlikely to arrive in India, although we can expect the 2018 Hayabusa to be unveiled at the Auto Expo next year along with two other bikes. While we expect the 2018 Suzuki Hayabusa to make in debut in India at the 2018 Auto Expo, there’s no word on whether the Suzuki GSX-R600 and Suzuki GSX-R750 will make it our shore. In India, the Suzuki Hayabusa competes against the Kawasaki Ninja ZX-14R and is priced at Rs.13.57 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).
