Among the revelations of a host of new concepts and production-ready models, the all-new 2018 model of the Suzuki Swish has been unveiled at the Tokyo Motor Show. The new generation of the Swish scooter is almost a complete overhaul in terms of the designing. However, it has not been confirmed for the Indian market yet. The 2018 Suzuki Swish gets LED treatment on the headlight as well as the tail lights clusters. However, the older gen of the model had the headlamps integrated on the handlebar, whereas the new model has it on the front body. There are LED DRLs as well that are placed over the headlight. Moreover, it gets a fully-digital instrumentation cluster.
The entire scooter is much sculpted and looks aggressive at the first impression. The company claims that the under seat storage has been increased to some extent. Also, the seat seems to be a little on the higher side, which could indicate the increased space in the front. The scooter stood on 10-inch alloy wheels along with 120-section tyres. The front wheel gets a disc brake while getting telescopic forks. The back wheel is suspended over single shock-absorber. The mechanical specification of the 2018 Suzuki Swish has not been revealed yet. However, we are expecting the scooter to get the same engine as the Suzuki Access. If so, the engine will be capable of making a maximum power of 8.5 bhp along with a peak torque of 10.2 Nm.
The previous generation of the Suzuki Swish was sold in India for a couple of years before being discontinued in April this year. Hence, it would be a great news if the 2018 Suzuki Swish could make it to the prosperous scooter market of India. Fascinatingly, Honda too is all set to launch the new urban scooter in the form of the Grazia, which would make the 125 cc scooter segment interesting and competitive.
