Eicher Pro 6000 Series heavy duty trucks introduced in India

Eicher Pro 6000 Series launched in India

VE Commercial Vehicles Limited (VECV) has launched the Eicher Pro 6000 Series of heavy duty trucks in India. VECV is a joint venture between Eicher Motors and Volvo Group. Under the joint collaboration, the Eicher Pro 6031 and 6025 haulage trucks and the 6025T tipper was launched.

The Eicher Pro 6031 is an 8×2 drive with a gross vehicle weight of 31 tonne. While the Eicher Pro 6025 is a 6×2 drive with gross vehicle weight of 25 tonne, the 6025T tipper is a 6×4 drive with gross weight of the vehicle being 25 tonne.

Powered by the VEDX5 and VEDX8 engines, the trucks feature a new generation engine management system (EMS 3.0) and the Pro 6000 Series gets cruise control, onboard diagnostics and fuel coaching.

The Eicher Pro 6031 sports the VEDX5 engine which is a 4-cylinder BS-3 compliant engine. It produces 210 bhp of power at 2,200 rpm and a torque of 825 Nm between 1,200-1,600 rpm. It will be available with hydraulically actuated clutch with a six-speed transmission.

The Pro 6031 has a wheelbase of 6,150 mm with a heavy duty fully floating rear axle and a twin steer front axle.
As claimed by the company, the trucks will address the requirements of the market segments across construction, haulage, courier, industrial loads and perishables. With the incorporation of global engine technology and cabin design from the Volvo Group, the new range of trucks aim at revolutionizing the levels of productivity in the heavy duty trucking industry.

The company also claims that, the Eicher Pro 6000 Series heavy trucks and tippers will ensure maximum profitability as it will assure more productivity, better fuel efficiency and high driver efficiency.

VE Commercial Vehicles Limited that commenced its operations in July 2008 includes a range of trucks and buses from Eicher, VE engines, Eicher’s engineering design services businesses and components, sales and distribution business of Volvo trucks. It also offers aftermarket support services to Volvo Buses in India.
