Chairman and Managing Director of Raymond Ltd., Gautam Singhania, who is the first Indian to qualify the finale of the world’s biggest Ferrari event, Finali Mondiali 2014, secured the third position in the category- Coppa Shell. In Race 2 of the Ferrari event, Singhania was ranked 14th among 43 participants.
He was ranked 4th in Race 1 of the category and was ranked 12th of 43 participants.
Finale Mondiali was held from December 4 to December 6 in Abu Dhabi. For the first time in history, this racing event is being hosted outside Europe. The Ferrari Challenge was established for the Ferrari 348 Berlinetta owners, who have strong inclination towards racing. The Ferrari 348 (Type F119) is a mid-engined, rear-wheel drive V8-powered 2-seat sports car.
Driven by the passion for cars, Singhania had set up the Super Car Club (SCC) in 2009. It is the first Super Car Club in India. SCC has been organizing events, where CEOS and top level executives having a strong inclinations towards cars take a break from their schedule and drive around places like Ladakh and Rajasthan.
