When spy images of the new and upcoming Tata Kite sedan’s test mule were spotted, we had informed our readers about Tata Motors intention to launch a hatchback variant of the new Tata Kite. Now that the Kite hatchback’s test mules have also been spotted in India, we at GreasePress bring you an exclusive sketch that depicts the design of the Tata Kite hatchback.
This sketch is in no way a clear illustration of the production ready variant but should provide our readers a more clear idea of what to expect when the car is officially unveiled. A quick look at the exclusive sketch prepared by our very own Prasanth P.S. gives us an impression that the Kite hatchback will sport a tall boy design and a lot of its design elements seems to be derived from the company’s upcoming offering-Tata Bolt. The Kite is expected to get redesigned bumpers, new headlamps and revised tail lamps at the rear.
The Tata Kite hatchback that is scheduled to be launched either during the end of 2015 or early 2016 will replace the Tata Indica.
The Kite is expected to be powered by a 1.0-litre and 1.2-litre 3-cylinder diesel engine and an automated manual transmission (AMT) would also be available on select variants with an expected price range of Rs 3.8 lakh to Rs 4.5 lakh.
