A vague analysis of the previous reports related to Maruti Suzuki gives us an impression that Maruti is on a facelift spree. The company has already launched the 2015 Maruti Suzuki Swift facelift and reports about the 2015 Maruti Ertiga facelift is already rife among auto enthusiasts. The company is all set to launch the face lifted version of its bestselling compact sedan Maruti Suzuki Swift Dzire.
The 2015 Maruti Suzuki Swift Dzire is expected to be launched in the coming weeks. So how will the facelifted version look? Prasanth P.S. of our GreasePress team has come up with an exclusive render of the 2015 Maruti Suzuki Swift Dzire.
What makes the compact sedan look different is the well groomed front fascia. The vehicles designers have managed to give it a trimmed front profile without deviating much from the compact sedan’s original body design. A good decision by the company that invited competition from other automakers to enter the compact sedan market.
The 2015 face lifted model gets more chrome compared to the current model and what will help you distinguish between the upcoming and the ongoing model is the grille that now gets a dominating chrome embellishment that certainly makes the car look classier than the previous versions. The smoked headlamps gels well with the new grille and chrome. The fog lamps too get a chrome applique and the car sits on multispoke alloy wheels which now looks more elegant than before. We do not see noticeable changes in the side profile
The interiors are expected to sport new upholstery, power foldable outside-rear-view-mirrors, push button engine start stop and Bluetooth enabled audio system
The 2015 Maruti Swift Dzire looks more masculine and powerful than the current model. To befit its new looks, the engineers at Maruti have tuned the engines (both petrol and diesel variants) of the face lifted model to deliver more kilometers per litre. However, mechanically, both the engines powering the new Swift Dzire remain unchanged. The petrol engine is expected to be detuned and it will churn out 84.3 PS of power and 115 Nm of torque in the petrol variant of the face lifted model. The current model’s petrol variant produces 87 PS and 114 Nm. The diesel engine will produce 75 PS and 190 Nm and with the engine detuned slightly, it will deliver a fuel efficiency of close to 25 kilometres per litre.
