Gujarat Police will now ride Harley Davidson’s Street 750 and SuperLow

Harley Davidson bikes for Gujarat Police

Some cops in Gujarat could get an opportunity to ride the Harley Davidson bikes of 750 to 1000 cc that will be procured before the commencement of Vibrant Gujarat Summit in January next year. In the report submitted to the DGP’s office, the technical committee of Gujarat Police has recommended the procurement of 20 imported super bikes. Of the 20 super bikes, 7 would be Harley Davidson bikes.

The super bikes will be used to pilot the VIPs and chase down runways. The two models of Harley Davidson bikes: the SuperLow and the Street 750 will be painted with white colour. It will also get accessories that include a siren, a wireless communicator and a warning light.

Gujart Police to procure Harley Davidson bikes

The Street 750 that was awarded the Indian Motorcycle of the Year (IMOTY) award for 2014 is the most affordable Harley-Davidson motorcycle available in the Indian Market today. The SuperLow is more powerful with its 883cc Air-cooled, Evolution engine.

Gujarat Police has also procured 225 Bolero white jeeps and 350 bikes.
