Infiniti has teased the all new QX-80 Monograph, a premium luxury SUV concept that might go on to become a challenger for the mantle of the ultimate SUV. The QX80 is Infiniti’s flagship SUV and has been around for more than half a decade in the global markets. Based on the Nissan Patrol SUV, the Infiniti QX80 has been able to match and eventually surpass its native rival, the Lexus LX in the full-size luxury SUV space in most markets.
The QX Monograph looks ravishing with the high mounted large rectangular front grille and all LED headlights that flank the grille’s top-line. The wide wheel arches under the defining shoulder line and the louvre that ranges low on the doors from the visible fender to the back wheel give it the vital muscle. The large alloy wheels makes sure the Monograph stands tall as well. The hard bumper with the splitter air dam and the bash-plate underneath makes it look like a crouching rhino. The tall bonnet blends in to the shoulder line that extends to the tail gate.
Infiniti has divulged no details about the car but based on a learnt guess we guess that it will continue to get the huge 5.6 liter V-8 petrol engine that creates fair 400 BHP of power and a massive 560 Nm of torque. An all-wheel drive and a 7-speed automatic gearbox will be standard and the Monograph will tow 8.5 tonnes without even breaking a sweat.
Like Lexus is Toyota’s first-class present, Nissan has Infiniti, which means, the QX-80 Monograph will have one of the bespoke interior and best luxurious. Looks like Range Rover might have to up its ante as world’s favourite luxury SUV now that we have both Bentley Bentayga and the QX80 Monograph vying for the top spot along with the upcoming Rolls-Royce Cullinan. Stay tuned to Grease press to find out more about the Inifiniti Q-X Monograph as it gets revealed at the New York Auto Show coming week.
