Tata Motors had first introduced the Tata Nano as the world’s cheapest car that could be owned and managed by the common man who carries his entire family on a two wheeler. After that, the world’s cheapest car was remodeled and named Nano Twist, which was repositioned in the market for its ‘Awesomeness’.
Now, the Tata Nano would be seen in a different avatar. JA Motor Sport, the motorsport unit of Coimbatore based J. Anand, took this car and turned it into the ‘Super Nano’. The Super Nano sports a 1.3 liter-4 cylinder petrol engine that produces 230 Bhp of power and 190 Nm peak torque. The car is expected to get ready by 2015.
The Super Nano comes with a six-speed sequential gearbox and can be operated with paddle shifters. The car is yet to go through the testing phase. The Super Nano is expected to touch a speed of around 180-200 kms per hour. All the wheels of the car have disc brakes and the car also comes with a race tuned suspension and bolt-on roll cage.
The exteriors of the Super Nano include race alloys, MRF Z LO tyres, smoked head and tail lamps and an aerodynamic body kit. The cabin of the car is no different from the one in a track car. The large engine has replaced the rear bench. The other interiors include a flat-bottom racing steering wheel, carbon-fibre dashboard and the Recaro bucket seats.
JA Motorsport can transform your Tata Nano to a Super Nano at a cost of Rs. 25 lakhs.
