Mahindra XUV500 petrol 2.2L launched in India at a price tag of Rs.15.49 lakhs

After launched in the Middle East, the new Mahindra XUV500 petrol variant has now gone on sale in India. New Mahindra XUV500 petrol is offered with FWD in India (AWD will launch laer). It is priced from Rs.Rs.15.49 lakhs (ex-Delhi). The Mahindra XUV500 is available in only one variant as of now – G AT. There is no change in the design part and the Mahindra XUV500 G AT variant comes with intelligent light sensing and static bending headlights. The variant also gets keyless entry and push-button start along with a 7-inch touchscreen system with multiple connectivity options including Android Auto. Other key features include automatic temperature control, 8-way adjustable driver seat, rain sensing wipers and cruise control. Electronic stability program (ESP) with rollover mitigation, antilock braking system (ABS) with electronic brake force distribution (EBD), dual airbags and tyre-tronics are among the safety features of the new variant.

Mahindra XUV500 is powered by a 2.2 liter, turbocharged petrol engine called the mHawk G140. This engine offers 140 bhp highest power and 320 Nm highest torque mated to 6-speed automatic transmission sourced from AISIN, Japan. Mahindra XUV500 petrol is similar in features and design to the diesel variant. It carries a mHawk G140 logo on the fender. It boasts of static bending headlights and projector headlights with light guide. Interiors are done up in black and sport a host of infotainment features with a 7” touchscreen, 6 speakers, iPod, AUX-in, Bluetooth connectivity and video playback. The SUV also gets safety features such as tyre force monitoring system, rain sensing wipers and disc brakes on all wheels.

With demand for petrol SUVs on the rise, Mahindra has plans to launch petrol variants of all their SUVs in the near future.
