New Suzuki Gixxer 2017 and Access 125 introduced

A company backed by Nest co-founder Tony Fadell is taking Andy Rubin's startup to court.


The Suzuki Access 125 and Gixxer 155 are two of Suzuki’s successful products in India ever since they were introduced. Now, to keep up with the government norms, the Japanese bike maker has launched BS – IV alternatives of these two vehicles.


The Gixxer will be available with back disc brake in three various color options – Pearl Mira Red, Metallic Triton Blue, Glass Sparkle Black and Glass Sparkle Black, and Glass Sparkle Black. The Glass Sparkle Black Gixxer will also be available with a rear drum brake option. The Suzuki Gixxer S-F will be available in new graphics inspired from Suzuki’s logo for all the variants – Metallic Triton Blue, Glass Sparkle Black and Metallic Sparkle Black and Pearl Mira Red. Along with Metallic Triton Blue, the Gixxer S-F FI will now be available in Glass Sparkle Black with Metallic Matt Black colors. The 2017 Access 125 gets an addition of Metallic Silver color in addition to the existing color lineup – Candy Sonoma Red, Pearl Suzuki Deep Blue, Glass Sparkle Black, Metallic Fibroin Grey and Pearl Mirage White.

Commenting on the new color contributions, Mr. Satoshi Uchida, Managing Director, Suzuki Motorcycle India Pvt Ltd, said “Since their launch, the Gixxers and the Access 125 SP have gained immense acceptance in the segments. In order to deliver our customers with environment friendly technology in line with the latest regulations, these vehicles now comply with BS – IV and also feature AHO. We are also refreshing this range with new color and graphic alternatives. For the New Access, the Metallic Sonic Silver is aimed at the fashion aware clienteles who are looking for more options in terms of contemporary styling. The Gixxer and Gixxer SF 2017 variants will appeal to the young rider who wants to make a style statement on their mean machineries. We are confident that these new colors will find worldwide appeal and further propel our growth in their respective segments.


The back disc variant of the Gixxer costs Rs.80, 528 (ex-showroom, Delhi) and the drum brake optional variant costs Rs.77, 452 (ex-showroom, Delhi) while the new Gixxer SF costs Rs. 89,659 (ex-showroom, Delhi) and the Gixxer SF Fi costs Rs. 93,499 (ex-showroom, Delhi). The Metallic Sonic Silver variant of the Access is accessible at Rs. 54,302 (ex-showroom, Delhi) for the drum brake lower variant and Rs. 57,615 (ex-showroom, Delhi) for the disc brake version.
