Price slashes up to Rs.1.96 lakhs. New pricing gets it is quicker to compact sedans. 269 views Nissan has stated a huge reduction in prices for the Sunny crossways variants and its range now starts at a price point that is now nearly a lakh inexpensive than before. The base petrol XE trim is now priced at Rs.6.99 lakhs and diesel top-end at Rs.8.99 lakhs. The petrol CVT auto gear transmission now comes in top end X-V trim only at a price of Rs.8.99 lakhs, almost Rs.2 lakhs less than before and the mid XL CVT has been finished. Nissan say that, the reason for this price cut is them being able to pass on to customers, the prosperities of lower costs due to local manufacture. Now, with its new pricing, Nissan has positioned the Sunny much nearer to the high selling compact-sedan section which includes cars like the Hyundai Xcent, Maruti Dzire and Ford Figo Aspire.
The Sunny is now available in three petrol variants XL, XE and XV with the top-end only available with a CVT auto gear transmission. The diesel gets an additional X-V safety variant that gets side airbags as well. Previous this year Nissan updated the Sunny with new all-black interiors and a new exterior paint shade. However, there were no automated changes on the upgrade, and the sedan continues to be powered by a 1.5 liter petrol and a 1.5 liter K9K diesel engine. The new pricing will give Sunny a boost in its segment which is dominated by the likes of Honda City, Maruti Suzuki Ciaz, Skoda Rapid, Volkswagen Vento and Hyundai Verna. It will also disrupt the compact sedan section as customers are likely to get the much better Sunny at a little more price.
