Nissan reveals 2016 Nissan Maxima ahead of the 2015 New York Auto Show
Nissan has announced its plans to unveil the 2016 Nissan Maxima at the New York Auto Show, 2015. The Nissan Maxima that is based on the Sport Sedan concept (that was unveiled at the 2014 Detroit Auto Show) sports a broad V-motion front end, a high deck, floating roof and boomerang headlamps.
The foglight inlets are integrated intot he front bumper and the side windows profile has been revised with a less dashing look. The character line (painted in black) in the C-pillar continues to the back and the headlight eyebrows have been toned down on the production model.
The 2016 Nissan Maxima is expected to be powered by a 3.5-litre V6 engine that produces power of 260 hp. The four door sportscar showcases the future design language of smaller Nissan vehicles.
Nissan Maxima is expected to be launched in USA in mid-2015 and will compete with Ford Taurus, Toyota Avalon, Hyundai Azera and Volkswagen CC.
Nissan aims at targeting a wider set of customers including the markets of Russia and Middle East. Nissan will reveal full specifications of the sedan at the New York Auto Show that is scheduled to be held in April.
