The car you see in the pictures is the “all-new” Terrano, prices for which start from Rs.9.99 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). We know it does not look any dissimilar compared to the outgoing version, and that’s because it is not. Before we get to discuss the updates, here is a look at a variant wise price list-
XL: 9.99 lakh
XLD (O): 11.92 lakh
XED: 9.99 lakh
XVD PRE AMT: 14.20 lakh
XVD PRE: 13.60 lakh
While we expected the SUV to wear a new suit with daytime running lamps, upgraded bumpers, and alloy-wheels, it gets none of them. Unlike the modernized Duster that got a slew of cosmetic changes, the Terrano carries over the same 16-inch machine finish alloy wheels, the trademark Nissan grille and dual-barrel headlights. Minor upgrades come in the form of turn indicators on the (now electrically foldable) wing mirrors, and a new ‘Sand-stone Brown’ colour scheme.
Step inside and that’s when you notice the big changes. The black-beige interior has been swapped for a classier black brown theme. Owing to this, the Terrano also gets new upholstery for the seats as well as a matching color scheme for the door pads. Nissan has also plonked in the 7 inch touchscreen infotainment system from the Duster. While it does support navigation, it misses out on Apple Car Play and Android Auto both of which are fast becoming the norm in the segment.
