Nissan to hike prices from January, 2015

Nissan is the latest car brand that has joined the league of the companies intending to hike the price of their Indian product line-up. The price hike on all Nissan cars and Datsun range of vehicles sold in India will be effective from January 1, 2015. The reason for the price hike has been attributed to the rising input costs.

“We have increased prices due to rising input costs, although we are confident Nissan and Datsun vehicles will continue to offer excellent value and choice to our customers. Despite recent high inflation, the outlook for the Indian economy is positive,” says Arun Malhotra, Managing Director, Nissan Motor India.

Nissan’s India product line-up include Nissan Terrano, Evalia, Sunny, Micra and Micra Active and Datsun is currently offering the Go. Nissan vehicles will now cost upto Rs. 18,000 more (a 2.5% hike) and Datsun cars will now cost upto Rs. 11,000 more (a 3% hike).
