Tata Motors has launched the Tata Nano Twist XE, the base variant of the Nano Twist (that comes equipped with power steering) at a price of Rs. 2.06 lakhs (ex-showroom, New Delhi). The car is available in three shades namely, Royal Gold, Meteor Silver and Serene White.
The Nano Twist XE was expected to be launched last year as the company decided to discontinue the non-power steering CX and LX versions from its lineup. The Nano Twist XE will positioned below the top-end variant Nano Twist XT and will be cheaper than the XT variant by Rs. 40,000.
The exteriors of Nano Twist XE sport black bumpers, door handles and view mirrors. The base version has been deprived of the fog lamps and full size wheel caps, it get smaller hub caps instead. Even the chrome strip at the front, rear spoiler and roof mounted antenna have not been provided in the base variant.
The interiors feature air conditioners, black fabric and dashboard color scheme. Also inside is a three spoke steering and dual glove box. The interiors of the XE will miss out on keyless entry with central locking, power windows, rear parcel shelf and an in-dash audio system. However, mechanically, the car remains the same.
To round up, Tata Motors gives the base variant of Nano Twist with power steering and air conditioner for Rs. 2.06 lakhs.
