TVS Jupiter with BS-IV engine launched in India at Rs.49, 666

TVS Motor has introduced the BS-IV variant of its popular scooter Jupiter, equipped with Automatic Headlights on (AHO) and Sync Braking System feature. The price of the vehicle remains unaffected at Rs.49, 666 (ex-showroom New Delhi). “TVS Jupiter has received such eagerness from the consumers in response to its belief of Zyada ka Fayda. Living true to it, not only whole Jupiter range is now BSIV compliant, it now offers the unique Sync Braking System across entire range,” TVS Motor, Vice-President (Marketing), Scooters, Aniruddha Haldar said. The sync braking system guarantees additional safety to the rider as it automatically activates the front brakes when rear brakes are used, a business statement said here today.

TVS said the new feature formerly accessible on the ZX range would now be available in the base variant as well. The TVS Jupiter comes with two new colors, Mystic Gold and Jade Green. Since the launch of Jupiter across India in 2013, the company said there were more than 1.50 million customers. TVS Motor posted 3.64 per cent decline in total sales at 2, 11,470 units, in 2117. The firm had sold 2, 19,467 units in the same month last year, TVS Motor Co said in a statement. Scooter sales in February grew by 2.9 per cent to 69,020 units from 67,089 units in February 2016.

The refreshed scooter is now BSIV compliant, with Auto Headlamp on (AHO) and equipped with Sync Braking System (SBS). SBS ensures rider safety as it automatically triggers the front brakes when the rear brakes are used claims TVS. The feature, previously available on ZX range will now be available on the Base variant as well. Since its launch in 2013, TVS Motor Firm’s flagship scooter brand Jupiter has been strengthening the Company’s foothold in the scooter market and contributing to overall scooter segment uptake, penetration and growth in India. Company has traded over 1.5 million Jupiter scooters since its launch. The scooter is powered by an all-aluminum, low-friction 110-cc engine. There isn’t any revision in the prices for the BS IV models of Jupiter, priced at Rs.49, 666 (Ex-Showroom Delhi), the scooter is available across all TVS dealerships
