Volkswagen India has launched the Vento Highline Plus at a label price of Rs.10.84 lakhs (Ex. Showroom, Mumbai) in India. It will be available at all Volkswagen dealerships in India. Volkswagen Vento Highline Plus is available in both diesel and fuel trims with manual and automatic transmission options. The flagship trim comes loaded with several updated features, while mechanically it gets the same set of petrol and diesel motors. The new top-end variant would take on Honda City ZX and Maruti Ciaz RS in the Indian market.
Announcing the launch of the Vento Highline Plus, Thierry Lespiaucq, Managing Director, Volkswagen Group Sales India Pvt. Ltd. said, “The Vento has been an integral part of the Volkswagen portfolio in India and we are happy to launch the Vento Highline Plus that personifies Volkswagen’s characteristic DNA with aesthetic design elements, superior technology and unmatched safety features. It is our constant attempt to make the Vento a car of choice for young families and working professionals and the highline plus is aimed at that direction, we are positive that customers will find resonance in the car.” As for prominent features, the Vento Highline Plus boasts of full LED headlamps with daytime running lights (DRLs) and rear view camera.
Along with the added features, the Vento boasts of OVRM turn pointers, Zirkonia alloy wheels, and 3D effect tail lamps on the exterior. The interior is packed with automatic rain sensing wipers, auto-dimming IRVM, rear air-conditioning vents, cooled glove box and a multi-function steering wheel. The entire variant line-up of Vento comes packed with Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) and dual front airbags as standard fitment. It is available in both petrol and diesel fuel trims with three engine options: 103bhp 1.6L 4-cylinder MPI petrol engine, 103bhp 1.2L 4-cylinder TSI petrol engine and a 108bhp 1.5L 4-cylinder TDI diesel engine. All the aforementioned engines can be availed with manual as well as DSG automatic transmissions.
