2018 Pulsar RS 200 racing red edition launched

A company backed by Nest co-founder Tony Fadell is taking Andy Rubin's startup to court.


Having presented the updated Avenger, Dominar 400 and Discover range in the country recently, it is evident that Bajaj Auto is in the process of refreshing its lineup in India for 2018. The domestic automaker has now launched the Pulsar RS 200 Racing Red Edition which is available at a price of Rs.1.23 lakhs for the non-ABS trim and Rs.1.35 lakhs for the ABS variant. (Both prices ex-showroom, Delhi) Announcing the new colour option, Sumeet Narang, Vice President, Marketing, Motorcycle Business, and Bajaj Auto said “The Pulsar RS200 offers unparalleled design, fit and finish of the dream super sports bike and is a best seller among Indian youth. Mechanically, the Bajaj Pulsar RS200 remains untouched and continues to be powered by the same 200 cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine that comes with Bajaj’s signature 4-valve triple spark DTS-i technology. The motor continues to deliver the same power output of 24 bhp, and develops a peak torque of 18.6 Nm of peak torque, while mated to a 6-speed gearbox. The motorbike comes with a top speed of 141 kmph.

The equipment list also remains unchanged offering – twin projector headlamps, split seats, and LED tail lamps. Suspension duties are taken care of telescopic suspension with anti-friction bush up front and Nitrox mono shock absorber at the rear. Up front, the Pulsar RS200 comes with 300 mm disc up front with elective single channel ABS, while the back wheel gets 230 mm disc brake.
