Ducati launches Scrambler Urbano Enduro in India, priced at 7.90 lakh
Ducati had introducing its Scrambler range of bikes in India with the Icon, Classic and Full Throttle models. Joining this list is the newly launched Urban Enduro, the fourth and final bike in this series at 7.90 lakh, ex-showroom Bengaluru. The Bike’s launch also marked the inauguration of the Italian bike manufacturer’s showroom in Bangalore.
Besides the wild-green paint scheme on the Urban Enduro Scrambler, the bike’s front fork protectors, ribbed seats, high front mud-guard, and the headlight with an LED ring distinguishes it from the other Scrambler bikes. A more subtle change comes in the form of 18-inch front wheels and smaller 17-inch rear wheels. It has a tear drop steel fuel tank with aluminium covers and a ribbed seat for the rider. The underpinnings and powertrain of the bike, namely the USD front forks, the 73.8 bhp, 803cc L-twin air-cooled engine comes matched to a six-speed manual gearbox respectively are carried over from the current Scrambler’s range. The Urban also comes with ABS equipped front and rear disc brakes and Pirelli dual sport tyres. Fuel is delivered with the help of 50mm throttle bodies.
As earlier reported, Ducati is working on a smaller 400cc version of the scrambler, based on its larger sibling, which could be revealed at the International Motorcycle Exhibition 2015. Besides the Scrambler Urbano range, Ducati’s line-up for India includes the Diavel, Hypermotard, Monster, Multistrada and the Panigale superbike. Since it is capable of both on and off-road adventures, this might be one of the reasons why Ducati has launched the Scrambler Urbano Enduro in India. Our Indian roads are quite the adventurous ‘off-road’ material thanks to the pot holes, puddles, erratic traffic etc.
