Hero HF Deluxe i3S Launched in India at Rs.46, 630
Hero MotoCorp is on a spree to offer as many of its commuter motorcycles with its ‘Idle Start Stop System’ or i3S technology. And now, the firm has silently launched the Hero HF Deluxe with i-3S technology at a price of Rs. 46,630 (ex-showroom, Delhi). The HF Deluxe is a commuter-focused model from Hero and has quite a few variants ranging from kick-start and spoke wheels model to the self-start alloy wheel model. The i3S technology essentially shuts the engine off when the engine is idling and the gear is in neutral.
The engine comes back on once the clutch is pulled in. Hero says that the i-3S technology helps in offering improved fuel efficiency on traffic laden roads. The other new features are the graphics on the HF Deluxe i3S. Also, the bike will be offered in three dual-color combinations of Black-Blue, Black-Red and Black-Purple. Hero did not mention any official fuel efficiency figures, but the regular HF Deluxe is one of the most efficient motorcycles in India with a claimed fuel efficiency of 88.5 kmpl. In all probability, the HF Deluxe with i3S will be similarly fuel efficient, if not more.
The engine on the HF Deluxe i3S leftovers the same which is a 97.2-cc motor, creating 8.24 bhp at 8,000 rpm and 8.05 Nm of torque at 5,000 rpm. The engine is paired to a 4-speed manual gearbox and weighs 110 kg. Of course, the HF Deluxe i-3S is BS-IV compliant and gets the auto headlamp on (AHO) feature as well. The on-road, Delhi price of the Hero HF Deluxe i3S is Rs.53, 625.
