Auto Expo 2018 – Honda CBR250R raveled, Launch Soon
Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI) has unveiled the 2018 CBR250R at the ongoing Auto Expo 2018. One of the first quarter-liter offerings in its segment, the CBR250R was pulled off the market last year when it did not get BS-IV upgrades. However, the company has taken its time and has now introduced the 2018 edition that gets new colour options, decals and a full-LED headlamp as part of the updates for 2018. In addition to the new CBR250R, HMSI also unveiled the all-new X-Blade, Activa 5G as well as the complete 2018 line-up at the biennial auto show. For 2018, the Honda CBR250R now gets an all-LED headlamp with position lamp. The update brings a freshness to the motorcycle, adding a new element to its styling. The bike gets completely new graphics while there are two new sporty colours including mars orange and striking green. The existing colour options continue to be on sale. The bike also continues to get dual-channel ABS as optional on the 2018 model. Overall though, there has been no change in the design of the bike.
In terms of the powertrain, the 2018 Honda CBR250R continues using the same 249 cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine tuned to produce 26 bhp at 8500 rpm and 22.9 Nm of peak torque at 7000 rpm. The motor comes paired to a 6-speed gearbox. The CBR250R uses telescopic forks up front and a monoshock setup at the rear, while braking performance continues to come from discs at either end.
