Mahindra Mojo that is expected to be launched in March, 2015 has been spied in Coimbatore. Expected to be priced at around Rs. 2 lakhs (ex-showroom) in India, the Mahindra Mojo will compete with the KTM Duke 390, the Honda CBR250R and the Kawasaki Ninja 300R.

The front fairing of the Mojo is expected to sport twin headlamps topped with Daytime Running Lights (DRLs). The frame doubles up below the large tank and the twin tubular structure provides good aesthetics. While the rear gets a conventional disc, there is a huge petal disc brake setup at the front.

Other features include dual exhausts, LED tail lamps, light weight alloy wheels, Pirelli Sport Demon tyres and the upside down front forks. The seat is set much lower to the handle bar providing more relaxed position while riding the bike. Riders can slightly bend forward to get a sporty riding posture using the rear set foot pegs. To ensure firm grip on the riders palm. Mojo will come with a vibration less handle bar. The bike is spacious and long, making it ideal for long trips.

In the instrument panel, except for the RPM meter (that provides analogue information), rest of the information will be provided in digital mode.

Powering the 295 cc Mahindra Mojo is a four stroke, liquid cooled, single cylinder engine with Dual Overhead Camshaft (DOHC) that produces maximum power of 27 bhp at 8,000 rpm and a torque of 25Nm at 6,500 rpm. The engine is cradled by a tubular frame that is finished in a shade of gold alongwith the usual swing arm.

The mileage of the bike is yet to be announced officially but it is expected that the Mojo could deliver a fuel economy of around 30 kms per litre.

In terms of acceleration and performance, Mojo could give tough competition to its competitors. Mojo may accelerate from 0 to 100 km per hour in less than 12 seconds and can also attain a top speed of 150 km per hour. Mojo is expected to be tweaked in order to perform better on Indian roads. Indians can expect the Mojo to deliver instant throttle response with fewer gear shifts. The gearbox is also expected to be smoother making the bike ideal for city traffic.

The Mojo is expected to come with a wheel base of 1450mm which will ensure stability for the bike. The 150 mm ground clearance will ensure better turning capabilities at slower speeds. The broad tyre will not only ensure better grip on Indian roads and the suspension system will enable to pass through any pothole.

Mahindra had first unveiled the Mojo in 2010, when it had launched its commuter bike, Stallio. Mahindra Mojo was last unveiled at the Auto Expo, 2014 in India. The bike was scheduled to be launched in 2012 but the company delayed the launch as it wanted to ensure that all the technical glitches pertaining the bike is fixed before it is officially launched. It seems Mahindra has been working a lot on bringing out the Mojo. Mahindra Mojo has been caught testing on roads quite lot of times.
