With the entry of Honda Mobilio in the Indian MPV market, Maruti certainly does not seem to be in any mood to take its well established position for granted. To withstand the competition in the MPV segment (that is being eyed by most of the car makers), Maruti Suzuki has sent in its hot seller Ertiga MPV for a makeover.

Maruti Suzuki will be launching the 2015 Maruti Ertiga facelift within the first half of 2015. At this stage, when the facelifted MPV is still under wraps and we are in the dark about what all interior upgrades the MPV will be getting, we would want to reserve ourselves from reviewing the 2015 Maruti Ertiga facelift. But we have come up with an exclusive digital render of the 2015 Maruti Ertiga facelift for our readers.

Our very own Prashanth P.S. who had created exclusive render of the 2015 Tata Kite Hatchback and 2016 BMW 7-series for GreasePress readers, has now come up with an exclusive digital render of 2015 Maruti Ertiga facelift.

First look at the exclusive render explains that the facelifted model will now sport a three slat chrome grille. The front bumper has also been redesigned and the new model gets a new set of alloy wheels. Though the facelifted model might not look very different from the 2012 model but the 2015 facelifted version certainly has got a sharper exterior design. The side profile looks slightly trimmed up while the foglamps and the headlights continue with the same look.

From the digital mock up, we can round up that the facelifted model of 2015 Maruti Ertiga does not get remarkable redesigning but it certainly sports a slightly trimmed look than before.

While we are not bowled over by the exterior design of the yet to be launched 2015 Maruti Ertiga, we expect the facelifted model to get some mechanical changes. It is being speculated that the facelifted Ertiga will feature a new Automated Manual Transmission (AMT) kit that will get utilitarian differences from the same AMT kit that has been used in the new Alto K10 hatchbacks and Celerio. To ensure better mileage, the facelifted Maruti Suzuki Ertiga could be powered by a 1.4 litre K-Series petrol engine.

The 2015 Maruti Ertiga facelift is expected to be priced between Rs 5.82 lakh to Rs 8.6 lakh. With added features expected to come along with the facelifted version, it will be slightly expensive than the existing model.

Maruti Ertiga was launched in 2012 and since then the MPV has witnessed huge demand in the Indian market. The existing model that is available in petrol, diesel and CNG variants will compete primarily with Honda Mobilio, Chevrolet Enjoy and Mahindra Xylo, Datsun Go+, Renault Lodgy.
