The 2015 Maruti Swift Dzire facelift which is likely to be formally launched anytime now but as we have already covered before, Maruti Suzuki has already dispatched the latest model of its compact sedan to its dealers and some of the dealers have also displayed the car in their respective showrooms.

As some of the dealerships have started accepting bookings for the car (delivery of the car will start from March first week), the prices of all the variants of 2015 Maruti Swift Dzire facelift is already out. The prices (ex-showroom, Delhi) of the petrol and diesel variants of the compact sedan are enlisted below:

Petrol variants:

  • DZire LXi: Rs. 5.07 lakhs
  • DZire LXi (O): Rs. 5.20 lakhs
  • DZire VXi: Rs. 5.85 lakhs
  • DZire ZXi: Rs. 6.80 lakhs

Diesel variants:

  • DZire LDi: Rs. 5.99 lakhs
  • DZire VDi: Rs. 6.85 lakhs
  • DZire ZDi: Rs. 7.81 lakhs

The exteriors of the 2015 Swift Dzire facelift sports a new chrome grille that resembles Honda’s chrome grille, the newly designed bumper gets chrome enclosures for the foglights, smoked clusters for the headlights and a new airdam. The side profile does not sport much difference, however, the car sits on a new set of alloy wheels. The rear profile gets a new bumper that does without the centrally located foglight.

The interiors sport keyless entry with push button start, Bluetooth enabled music system and electric folding for the wing mirrors, however, these features can be availed by those picking the top end variants like the DZire ZXi (top end petrol variant) and DZire ZDi (top end diesel variant).

Engineers at Maruti Suzuki have finetuned the engines by using a new engine oil for the car’s diesel motor, to assure more fuel efficiency and now the 2015 Swift Dzire facelift is 10 percent more fuel efficient than the current model.

Maruti will formally introduce the 2015 Swift Dzire in the Indian market to compete with Honda Amaze, Hyundai Xcent and Tata Zest. Maruti Swift Dzire was first launched in India in 2008 and in 2012, the company incorporated few changes in the compact sedan and launched the new maruti Swift Dzire that looked like the younger sibling of the old Dzire. However, the 2012 model was slightly different from the 2008 model in terms of dimensions and exteriors. In order to cut the cost of production of its sedan car, Maruti worked towards launching the compact sedan in India. The compact sedan concept was liked by a lot of Indian car buyers.
