Honda to power 2015 McLaren MP4-30 F1 car at 2015 Formula 1 Racing season
For the 2015 Formula 1 Racing season, McLaren and Honda will partner once again after a long gap of 23 years. In the last season, McLaren team that was powered by Mercedes was ranked fifth in the 2014 championship.
With the new partnership, McLaren hopes to win the championship this time. The new car sports a slender rear end packaging around the gearbox with a RA615H turbocharged Hybrid engine from Honda that is firmly tucked under the bodywork. The car is claimed to be an evolved version of the 2014 Mercedes powered MP4-29 and is fitted with RA615H power unit from Honda.
“Although our renewed alliance began again many months ago, the launch of the McLaren-Honda MP4-30 marks the start of a lengthy journey. We’ve come a long way already and, although there’s a lot of work to do before we can expect to repeat the level of success we enjoyed together 25-or-so years ago, it’s already clear that there’s enormous synergy and potential in our partnership, and I’m positive that, together, we’ll get to where we want to be: winning Grand Prix and eventually World Championships as McLaren-Honda,” says Ron Dennis, Team Boss.
On 13th March, the first race of the season will start. Please find the 2015 FIA Formula One World Championship Race Calendar below:
