Mercedes has recently showcased its Mercedes F015 in motion concept car at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas.

The firm has gone a step ahead of its competitors and showcased the ultimate futuristic advanced self driving technology which can easily be accelerated from 0-100 Km/h in 6.7 secs. It uses two self driven motor that generates around 268 bhp.

As mentioned earlier, this concept is designed keeping the future in mind by Mercedes. The carmaker has made sure that this creates a revolution in the automobile industry. This technology uses an autonomous drive approach which, according to Mercedes, is the new future of driving in cities.

“Anyone who focuses solely on the technology has not yet grasped how autonomous driving will change our society,” said Mercedes-Benz boss Dieter Zetsche. “The car is growing beyond its role as a mere means of transport and will ultimately become a mobile living space,” added Zetsche.

Furthermore, the extremely well designed F015 motion car by Mercedes consists of some highly advanced cameras which makes sure that every minute detail is being captured in and around. The sensors are of high quality and enable the cameras to take autonomous decisions relieving the driver.

Another interesting point in the design is an extremely well designed  software which is highly efficient and according to Mercedes, this will play a crucial role in establishing trust between autonomous cars and people as the autonomous driving is the future.

Even if there is no traditional contact between the pedestrian and the driver, the LEDs are programmed in such a way that they automatically detect the pedestrians walking on roads when in autonomous mode.

If a pedestrian wishes to cross the road, the sensors and LEDs create a combined system which check whether it is safe to do so and if it is, then a virtual zebra crossing is created by the system of lasers which the car is equipped with. Not just this, even a message is prompted stating that its safe to cross the road.

There some advanced futuristic features in this model which distinguish this from the existing models. The interior is technically advanced and consist of six monitors which are further integrated into a dashboard and side panels. These monitors are basically used as sensors which track the functions like gesture, eye moments and touch which pave the way for “digital activity space”.

The F015 Luxury in motion is composed of a hydrogen fuel cell technology and it provides of a power range of around 684 miles and out of this, 559 miles is on the electricity generated by the fuel cell and the other 120 miles is generated by the lithium battery technology.
