Datsun Go+ launched in India; priced at Rs. 3.79 lakhs
Nissan has finally launched its much hyped Datsun Go+ in India at an extremely competitive price of Rs. 3.79 lakhs (ex showroom Delhi). The vehicle was launched in Mumbai. According to Nissan, Datsun Go+ is an ideal choice for those who seek motor accessibility at affordable rates. The variants of the vehicle is smartly designed so as to offer better seating space and also some extra space to accommodate the luggage. The basic model of Datsun Go+ is priced at around Rs. 3.79 Lakhs as mentioned earlier whereas the top end model of the same is priced at Rs. 4.65 Lakhs.
Nissan claims a fuel efficiency of around 20.6 kmpl for the Datsun Go+. Not just this, the Datsun Go+ comes with a 1.2-litre capacity petrol engine. The pre-bookings of Datsun Go+ were announced in the initial days of this month. Datsun Go was an earlier version of the same. It was the third global brand launched by Nissan after Nissan and Infinity. The sales of Datsun started in India in the year 2014. Alongside India, the car was also being sold in Japan, South Africa and Indonesia.
Nissan’s popular low cost brand has finally launched its highly speculated product in Mumbai. The car is offered in four variants which are D, A, D1 and T. The price range for the car is between Rs. 3.79 lakhs and Rs. 4.65 lakhs. The pre-bookings of Datsun Go+ that was started earlier this year also received good response in the market. The car is claimed to be India’s first highly compact MPV with the overall length less than 4 meters.
Talking about the looks and appearance, we can say that the car highly resembles Datsun Go hatchback. In fact, the front profile is exactly same as that of Datsun Go hatchback. Even the side profile of the car resembles its hatchback sibling. The major changes are made in the rear profiles of the car. The feature which distinguishes Datsun Go+ from Datsun Go is the seating capacity and arrangement. Datsun Go+ has an extra third row which has seating arrangement for kids.
We can say that, leaving the seating capacity aspect aside, Datsun Go+ is almost like Datsun Go Hatchback and has nothing new to offer. Datsun Go+ consist of a 1.2-litre petrol engine which is no different from Go Hatchback. The car is capable of producing around 104 Nm of torque at around 4000 rpm and also 67 bhp at 5000 rpm. The Go+ is roughly around 4 meters in length and 1.6 meters in width. The vehicle has a height of around 1.49 meters and a wheel base of around 2.45 meters. Not just this, the MPV has a ground clearance of around 170 mm. The top end variant of the car offers features like central locking system and HVAC system.
