Royal Enfield Classic 350 & Classic 500 to Obtain Updates
Royal Enfield has been a flag bearer of cruiser motorbikes in India and has amassed a cult-like following over the years. However, even the most ardent fans can’t argue about the lack of some very basic features. If fresh leaks are to be supposed, Royal Enfield will launch the Classic 350 with a new gunmetal grey paint option. Most significantly, the Classic range is now expected to be equipped with a rear disc brake instead of the 153mm drum brake unit it is currently shipped with. From the leaked image, we can see that the Classic will receive the rear swingarm and the 220mm rear disc brake from the Royal Enfield Thunderbird.
The Classic 350 will be powered by the same 346-cc engine that creates 20.07PS of power and 28Nm of highest torque at 4000 rpm. Presently, The Classic 350 comes in 8 different colour options – Ash, Silver, Lagoon, Chestnut, Black, Redditch Green, Redditch Red and Redditch Blue. Classic 500 fans need not to worry as it will also undergo few cosmetic and mechanical upgrade. It will now feature a new stealth black paint option, the same rear disc brake and swingarm setup as the current Thunderbird. The Classic 500 is currently available in six different color options – Classic Tan, Classic Black, Classic Silver, Chrome Green, Chrome Graphite and Desert Storm. The 499cc motor develops 27.57PS of power and 41.3Nm of torque at 4000 rpm. It is safe to say that the new upgrades will come as a welcome addition to the bike.
