Ssangyong Tivoli will use a 1.6 liter engine

Ssangyong has officially released the production version of its compact SUV, Ssangyong Tivoli. The compact SUV concept from Ssangyong gets its name from the Italian city of ‘Tivoli’. The South Korean SUV maker assures the Tivoli to be one of the most afforadable offerings from the company.

Ssangyong Tivoli to be launched in South Korea and China in early 2015

When it comes to design, the Tivoli seems to have taken cues from SsangYong XIV-Air and XIV-Adventure concepts. Besides the muscular appearance, the Tivoli also sports smooth headlamps, fog lamps are well unified with the lower half of the front bumper, creases run across the side profile of the car and the rear end receives wrap around tail lamps. The Tivoli will be 4,430mm long, 1,845mm wide and it has a height of 1,600 mm. It has a large wheelbase of 2,600.

The compact SUV’s interiors are very spacious and offers a premium feel. The car’s interiors also features a dual-zone climate control system, a touchscreen display, Bluetooth connectivity and a rearview camera and to keep its passengers safe, the Tivoli also offers seven airbags for all the seven seats.

Ssangyong Tivoli expected to be launched in late 2015

The Ssangyong Tivoli will be available in both diesel and petrol variants that meet Euro 6 emissions standards. The Ssangyong Tivoli will hit the South Korean market in January next year. The international markets will get the Tivoli by mid-2015. Ssangyong will surely bring the Tivoli to India to compete with the other compact SUVs in the Indian market and certainly to add one more option for the growing compact SUV segment in the country. However, the Indian market can expect the Ssangyong Tivoli at around the end of 2015.
