2015 Toyota Fortuner 4×4 AT launched in India at price starting from Rs. 24.17 lakhs

Toyota Kirloskar Motors (TKM) has introduced the top-end variant of the Toyota Fortuner i.e. the Toyota Fortuner 4×4 AT with its price tag ranging from Rs. 24.17 lakhs to Rs. 26.49 lakhs (ex-showroom, New Delhi prices). The Toyota Fortuner has been ruling the SUV segment in India ever since it was launched in 2009. It is also known as the Real Urban SUV due to its bold design and its capability to establish its presence on the roads. Due to its on road and off road capabilities, it is one of the most appreciated SUVs.

Built on the Toyota’s IMV (Innovative International Multi-purpose Vehicle) Platform, the the Toyota Fortuner 4×4 Automatic is capable of providing better, fuel economy, comfort, handling, safety and environmental sensitivity.

The exteriors of the new Toyota Fortuner 4×4 AT sport a 12-spoke, 17 inch dark grey alloy wheels, front fog lamps with silver bezel, smoked painted front headlamps and smoked rear combination lamps.

To ensure safety, Toyota Kirloskar Motors had recently announced to incorporate standardized front SRS airbags in every models. “We are very pleased to announce that Toyota Kirloskar Motor is the first manufacturer in the mass segment to have standardized front SRS airbags across all our models and in all grades. Safety has always been of utmost importance to us and this has been further reiterated by our efforts to standardize airbags in all our models,” explains N Raja.

2015 Toyota Fortuner 4×4 AT interiors

The new variant of Toyota Fortuner will now be available with new black interiors. The interiors will also sport a touch screen DVD Display and navigation with Voice recognition.

Powering the Fortuner 4×4 Automatic variant will be a 3.0-liter four-cylinder diesel engine that produces 168.59 bhp at 3,600 rpm. After the launch of this top end variant, the Toyota Fortuner is now available in four variants that include 4×2 MT, 4×4 MT, 4×2 AT and 4×4 AT.

Besides the existing colour shades, the new Toyota Fortuner 4×4 Automatic will aslo be available in Bronze Mica metallic and Silver Metallic shades.

Toyota Fortuner has been quite a popular SUV in India due to its high fuel efficiency, low cost of maintenance, suspension i.e. ideal for Indian roads, low cost of ownership, transmission oil that need not be replaced for the life of the SUV, express maintenance facility in Toyota’s dealership and warranty of 3 years or 1 lakh kms.
