TVS Dazz Scooter spotted testing
TVS is setting up to launch the Dazz for the Indian market. The new 110-cc TVS scooter was spotted testing in Hosur freshly. The Dazz was first presented at the 2016 Auto Expo and was made available only in overseas markets like Indonesia. Globally, the TVS Dazz is accessible in both carbureted and fuel-injected types. However, we are guessing TVS to bring the carbureted version here.
In the Indonesian market, the Dazz is offered in both carbureted and fuel-injected versions. TVS have not shed light on an India launch but with Auto Expo coming up, this could change.
Mechanically, the Dazz is powered by a 109.65cc single-cylinder air-cooled engine. This mill produces 8.35PS of power and 8.3Nm of torque at 5500rpm in the carbureted version and 8.7PS of power and 8.7Nm of torque at 5500rpm in the fuel-injected version. The suspension set-up features a telescopic fork at the front and a single shock-absorber at the rear. Braking is handled by a single disc at the front and a drum unit at the rear.
TVS Dazz, which has a carburetor, and TVS Dazz Fi, which features fuel injection. The Indian bike maker showcased the fuel injected version of the Dazz at the 2016 Auto Expo in the country. It is not the first time the Dazz has been spotted on Indian roads. The scooter was spied in the country way back in 2013 and twice in the subsequent year.
TVS has equipped the Dazz with telescopic forks at the front and a single shock absorber at the rear. For braking, the scooter utilizes a single disc unit at the front and a drum unit at the back. It is seen running on large 14-inch wheels, only seen on the Aprilia SR 150 in India. If launched in the country, the Dazz will serve as another option to TVS’ other 110cc offering, the Zest. We are expecting it to be priced in the region of around Rs.55, 000 to Rs.60, 000 (ex-showroom). Along with the Dazz, the Hosur-based company may also launch a heavily tuned 125cc scooter.
