Audi, Porsche and VW recall over 93,500 vehicles in select global markets
German automakers- Audi, Porsche and Volkswagen has recalled over 93,500 vehicles in select global markets to resolve the suspected fuel leak issue. As per Volkswagen, production issues and vibrations while driving leads to small leaks in rare cases.
2012 Audi A6, 2012 VW Touareg Hybrid SUV, 2012 and 2013 Audi A7 and Audi Q7, S4 and S5 manufactured from 2011 to 2012 have been recalled. All cars that have been recalled are powered by 3-liter V-6 engines. Porsche is recalling its Cayenne and Panamera S Hybrids that have been manufactured from 2011 to 2012. It will recall around 13,500 units globally. Audi is recalling around 80,000 vehicles globally with about two-thirds of the units being accounted for by the US and China.
Volkswagen is recalling only one of its models so the number of recalled units will be only a few hundred units.
The Volkswagen Group sells passenger cars under brands like Porsche, Skoda, SEAT, Lamborghini, Audi, Bugatti, Bentley. It was established in 1937 to manufacture the Beetle. VW also sells motorcyles under the Ducati brand and commercial vehicles under Scania, Neoplan and MAN.
