New gen Volkswagen Polo to enter India soon

A company backed by Nest co-founder Tony Fadell is taking Andy Rubin's startup to court.

The new Volkswagen Polo gets an update. The upgrade is huge and matches with its siblings, giving tough competition to the other hatchbacks in the segment. The new Polo was reviewed at Berlin, Germany and is recently put up for sale in the European markets. The biggest upgrade that Polo receives is that it will get a much lighter MQB platform. Earlier, Polo used the PQ 25 underpinnings. However, it is speculated that the Indian version would not get the MQB platform.

Polo gets a bigger body with increased length, wide and cabin space. The new design has also reduced some of its weight. The body is reported to be similar to its sibling, Volkswagen Golf. The hatchback will be available in petrol and diesel variants.

The car has been equipped with latest features for both exterior and interiors of the car. For exteriors, it gets main features like converging headlamps, flatter roof, and revised bumpers. Interior facelift includes Apple Car play and Android Auto, Audi’s virtual cockpit display, pedestrian detection and more. Polo gets the sporty exhaust with sharp lights, giving the car its legendary sporty looks. The top end version gets glossy black additions to its spoilers, sides, rears, and bumpers. The car gets the option of 17-inch or 18-inch alloys depending on the chosen model.
