2015 India bound Volvo XC90 to be launched in mid-2015
Volvo India is in plans to launch its luxury SUV, XC90 in India in mid-2015. The luxury SUV from Volvo was unveiled last year in August 2014 sports new exteriors and gets upgrades to its mechanical specifications. Even if, Volvo is planning to launch the XC90 in April, the deliveries are expected to start in July. As expected, the 2015 India bound XC90 will be priced between Rs. 90 lakhs to Rs. 95 lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi price). The Volvo XC90 is available for pre bookings at a minimum down payment of Rs. 10 lakhs in India. The Volvo XC90 will compete with BMW X5, Audi Q7 and Mercedes GL Class.
The XC90 will be reaching India as Completely Built Units (CBUs) and it will be the first car to be based on the Scalable Product Architecture (SPA) of Volvo.
The Volvo XC90 SUV is 4,950 mm long, 1,923 mm wide and has a height of 1,776 mm. The interiors get some exclusive features that include Four-zone climate control, dual tone steering wheel, voice recognition and powered seats, touchscreen display equipped with Apple CarPlay or Google Android Auto, multi layered dashboard, music system from Bowers and Wilkins with 19 speakers and gear lever designed by Orrefors.
The Volvo XC90 will be powered by a 1,969cc inline four cylinders, bi-turbocharged diesel power mill that will produce 228 PS of power and 470 Nm of torque and will be available with an 8-speed automatic transmission.
Volvo India has its dealerships in Mumbai, Pune, Delhi, Kochi, Hyderabad, Chennai, Coimbatore and Chandigarh.
